LOLFM is the collaborative audio experimentation of Eric Hnatow, Aaron Rubinstein, and Noam Schatz. LOLFM creates an immersive mosaic of interwoven sound. Everything is ripe for appropriation, be it circuit bent toys, retro casios, classic drum boxes, vocal samples, MIDI cross-pollination, and any other sounds they can pull into their orbit. The songs jump with the pure joy of pop music, stacking synth melodies, and bathing them in the waters of hypnosis. Through repetition consciousness can be altered.
The members of LOLFM come together from disparate musical backgrounds. Eric Hnatow is a veteran of New England' electronic music scene. Equally at home at a living room house party or opening for acts like Dan Deacon in theaters and clubs, Eric causes dance floors to erupt and bones to shift. Aaron Rubinstein is an underground hero, whose musical talents have been laying dormant, waiting for the perfect moment to emerge. Noam Schatz is a founding member of Mobius Band. He is an experienced circuit bender who has built instruments for Adrock of the Beastie Boys, Tokyo Police Club, and others.
