The Bent Festival is an annual art and music festival celebrating DIY electronics, hardware hacking, and circuit bending. Each year we invite artists from across the country and around the globe to perform music with their home-made or circuit bent instruments, teach workshops to adults and children alike, create beautiful art installations and to generally come together, face to face, and showcase the state of the art in DIY electronics and circuit bending culture.
In 2010, E-Squared knew that they must transinstantiate the visions they had seen thru the repliscope. Bodytronix was formed, having undergone a changeover to a different but identically configured existence to flip mental beats in the skillet.
Onto their perforated circuit cards a component went, then a wire, then a chip, over and over until at last the jam system was activated. True, some of their technology was based on twentieth-century schematic documents from a corporation called Roland, understood to be the best source of analog rhythm machines and acid line generators. However, many parts of the system had been imagined outright and are catalogued for study on the internet.
